Diagnostics and Electrical
Some problems announce themselves with a warning light. Others are a noise you cannot quite describe, a smell that comes and goes, or a puddle you found this morning. We take all three seriously.
What We Do
- Check engine light diagnosis
- Mechanical diagnosis and repair
- Electrical system diagnosis and repair
- Diagnosis of unidentified fluid leaks
- Diagnosis of that strange little noise your car started making
About That Check Engine Light
A code reader tells you which circuit reported a fault. It does not tell you what is wrong — the same code can come from a bad sensor, a wiring fault, a vacuum leak, or the part the sensor is watching. Replacing whatever the code names is how people end up buying two parts to fix one problem.
A steady light means get it looked at soon. A flashing light means stop driving and call us — that one can damage the catalytic converter in a matter of miles.
Electrical Faults
Intermittent electrical problems are the hardest thing in this trade to chase down, and the easiest to guess wrong about. Bring us as much detail as you can — when it happens, how often, whether it is worse when the car is cold or wet. It genuinely narrows the search.
