Pennsylvania State Inspection

Andy's Automotive Service is an official Pennsylvania inspection station, certification OIS #BC14, and an authorized emissions testing station. We inspect more than just cars — a lot of shops in the area won't touch a motorcycle or a trailer, and we will.

What We Inspect

• Cars and light trucks — the annual safety inspection everyone needs
• Motorcycles
• Trailers
• Medium trucks
• Heavy trailers

We are not certified for heavy trucks.

Emissions Testing

We handle both kinds of emissions testing York County requires:

• OBD emissions — the computer-port test used on most vehicles from 1996 on
• Visual emissions — the visual check on older vehicles and those exempt from OBD

Both can be done in the same visit as your safety inspection, so it is one trip and one stop rather than two.

If Something Fails

We are a full repair shop, not an inspection-only station. If your vehicle doesn't pass, we can tell you exactly what failed, what it will cost to put right, and do the work here. You are never stuck hunting for somewhere else to take it.
