Heat in January and air conditioning in July both run through the same cooling system, and that system is also what keeps your engine from overheating. It is worth keeping right.

• Having to top up the coolant more than once

An overheating engine is one of the few problems worth pulling over for immediately. The damage from driving on it is expensive and quick.
